Dishes - Daging Lembu Naik Bukit
I don't normally post about food. But this one is something worth sharing. This is a Cambodian dish called "Daging Lembu Naik Bukit". Yes, its in Malay! Funny thing is that the name is in Malay but they dont speak much Malay. So their pronunciation goes haywire. There is another version called "Daging Lembu Naik Gunung Berapi". Wonder what that might be! Haha

Backpacking tips - Orientation
Backpacking tip: no matter where you travel to, the best and probably the cheapest way to get oriented to the area is by riding; be it on motorbike or cycling. And you may never know what hidden gems you'll encounter too!

Toilet thoughts - Transitioning into adulthood
Lately ive been thinking a lot about the transitional stage from being a youth to a fully fledged adult.
Ive came to realised that some people can manage a smooth transition. Then, there are ppl like me who struggle.
I took the easy way out. Get into a job. I find it uncomfortable. I quit. Simple. Others find it uncomfortable too but stayed. I always take the easy way out.
I for now am stuck between having an enjoyable life and putting a stake on my career. I'm trying my best to balance work and school and my ever present social life and also time for myself. Its damn difficult to manage all these.
I've came to sensus that some things just gotta give. One of the things that would make its way out of the glory chamber is my ps3. Im not very sure how to keep my fifa form up after a long time not playing.
Nowadays I'd rather spend time with ppl I care about rather than playing games. I feel there's so much more to life than playing games. You'd ought to discover new realms which is realistically virtually impossible.
How I wish im still a kid right now. But hell yeah. Lets face this challenge like a man and take it head on.
Contentment. Thankful. Blessed. Happiness. Smile. :D

A Letter To Everyone Who Won’t Stop Asking Why I’m Single
I love you guys, I do. I understand that you’re only trying to help. People like to see their friends happy — it’s practically a law of nature. And I love that you’re all happy in your newfound and/or long-term relationships, respectively. But make no mistake — on those Saturday nights that you’re all shacked up, I’m not shriveled up on my couch watching The Notebook, crying my eyes out, wiping my single tears with the fur of my cat. I’m out with whichever of you happens to be free that night, and if that’s no one, then I’m out with my roommates, my cousins, or my one remaining single friend. I’m out with my little brother, who just got a sweet fake ID, or with my little sister, who never gets ID’d. I’m out with whoever happens to be around that night — I’m lucky enough to have this option.
Bottom line – I’m not actively looking for someone to share my Facebook relationship status with. I’m enjoying my 20′s, I’m partying my face off every weekend. There’s no need to feel bad for me, no need to make it your personal mission to set me up. I’m not saying that I wouldn’t take you up on the offer to meet a nerdy guy from your office now and then, but don’t go combing your floor in search of one. I’m happy with exactly the way my life is right now, and I wouldn’t change a thing."

Bedok. My Home.
Had a great time watching a play yesterday. A play reminiscent of the past. My childhood days... (And don't just talk abt soccer and food.)
The days when playing goli, tangkap buaya, rumah dayak with my neighbours and cousins were of a daily routine.
The days when you know where to go, which door to knock, which dry riser cabinet to open to if you need board games/ping pong balls/rackets/carrom/soccer balls to play with your gang.
The days when everyone in the neighbourhood actually know one another.
The days when every muslim household around the neighbourhood, and also some non-muslim, will gather at blk 127 lvl 3 to break fast together during Ramadhan. Unsold food from Mukmin restaurant was distributed there.
The days when the 'open door concept' was really common; So much so that every one I that know have visited my house before. I could wake up one day with neighbourhood friends from a few blks away in my house, waiting for me to get up and play with them or just 'lepak' under blk beside mama shop.
Everything was and is still very lively. Although it isn't the same now, Bedok is a community. A spirited community.
These are the very least of many memories I have about my neighbourhood. I was born(the closest hospital nearest to bedok at that time was at telok kurau) and bred here, and im damn proud to say im a full blooded budak Bedok and I will never ever leave this place! Budak Bedok for life!
